ALLENTOWN, PA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (29-12-4) weren't at their best at times in the opening 40 minutes of this afternoon's game according to head coach Kirk MacDonald, but a number of timely plays paved the way for what ended up being a decisive 6-2 win over the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

Six different goal scorers and 13 players recorded at least one point for the Penguins in the win, with Matt Dumba (four assists) the only skater with a multi-point effort.

Thoughts from MacDonald as well as a video interview with Tanner Howe (pro debut, 1st career pro point) after the jump for InsideAHLHockey.com subscribers.
