WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (41-16-8) dominated Lehigh Valley Sunday, jumping out to a 3-0 first period lead and never looking back on their way to a 5-1 blowout win over the Phantoms (28-31-6).
The Penguins' top line of Rafael Harvey-Pinard (one goal, two assists), Joona Koppanen (one goal, two assists) and Tanner Howe (one goal, three assists) carried the load offensively, with Chase Pietila and Aidan McDonough also hitting the back of the net in the win.
Joel Blomqvist was brilliant Sunday, having his shutout bid broken with just 1:18 left in the third period - stopping 30 of the 31 shots he faced to pick up the win.
