WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (40-16-8) returned the favor on Saturday against the Laval Rocket, defeating the top team in the AHL's North Division 3-1 after last week's setback in Laval.
Avery Hayes (two goals, one assist) stole the show offensively, figuring in on all three Penguins goals, while Sergei Murashov was a difference maker in net once again - stopping all but one of the 34 shots that came his way after going the first 13:57 of the contest without seeing a shot.
Aidan McDonough also scored for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, marking his third goal in as many games and eight goals in his last 12 games.
