ALLENTOWN - Those attending the Lehigh Valley Phantoms home game Saturday at the PPL Center might want to arrive early.
Philadelphia Flyers' long-time public-address announcer Lou Nolan, and Philadelphia Inquirer's Sam Carchidi will be on the concourse signing copies of their newly published book "If These Walls Could Talk: Philadelphia Flyers" at Saturday's Phantoms game from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and during the first and second intermissions.
Nolan has been with the Flyers since their inception in 1967. He worked in the PR department until 1972, when he became the public address announcer.
If you've ever been to a Flyers game in Philadelphia, you're well versed with Nolan's goal calls and the infamous start to every single one of their home power plays, the PECO Power Play.
The book is full of stories, from Bernie Parent to Ivan Provorov and all the years in between.
Copies if the book will be available at the game, and both Nolan and Carchidi will be on hand signing copies of the book.
