WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (45-17-9) jumped out to a 3-0 first period lead and never looked back in a 4-1 win over the Bridgeport Islanders (33-30-8) Friday night at Mohegan Arena.
Finn Harding got the Penguins rolling with his fourth of the season, then the team's top forwards took over for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Avery Hayes and Ville Koivunen (goal, two assists) added to the Penguins' lead in the opening period, and Tristan Broz (goal, assist) completed the home team's scoring with a third period tally in his first game back from injury.
