SPRINGFIELD, MA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are one win away from the Eastern Conference Finals following a 2-1 win in Springfield Tuesday night.
Rutger McGroarty scored a crucial shorthanded goal in the final minute of the first period, and Bill Zonnon made it three goals in three games with the Penguins with a big third period goal that proved to be the game-winner.
Sergei Murashov stopped 27 of the 28 shots he faced as the Penguins will look to close out the Atlantic Division Finals Thursday night in Game 4.
